A suggestive naturalistic oasis in which land and brackish water have found the right balance thanks to human intervention.
The oasis is home to 150 different species of aquatic birds from the gray heron to the purple heron, from the elegant black-winged stilt to birds of prey, such as the buzzard and the marsh harrier. The vegetation is particularly valuable, from elderberry to the typical flora of freshwater wetlands, such as flowering rushes, reeds, white and yellow water lilies.
The Vallette di Ostellato are located in the Po Delta Park which has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and host international birdwatching festivals and events due to the richness of its biodiversity, as well as national and international fishing competitions.
